The Ministry of Emergency Situations reported this.
According to the ministry, as a result of the incident, 8 citizens of Uzbekistan, who worked as builders at a construction enterprise operating in the city of Nizhnekamsk, died. Several more Uzbeks were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity.
In accordance with the President's instruction, a decree of the Cabinet of Ministers was adopted on the formation of a Government commission consisting of representatives of relevant ministries and agencies, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Ochilboy Ramatov.
The commission was tasked with inquiring about the citizens of Uzbekistan affected by the incident, providing them with necessary assistance, bringing the deceased to Uzbekistan via a special flight, and providing comprehensive support to their family members.
In addition, a special working group consisting of representatives of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Health, the Migration Agency and other relevant organizations has been sent to Russia.
Currently, representatives of the Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Kazan and the Migration Agency are at the scene, and in cooperation with representatives of the Russian side are carrying out the necessary measures.
