In Bolivia, 86.5 kilograms of marijuana were found in a bus intended for the delegation of the Brazilian football club "São Paulo". This was reported by the UOL portal.
According to reports, the incident occurred before the team's away match against Bolivia's "Bolívar" club in the round of 16 of the South American Cup.
The bus was stopped near the city of Cochabamba. During the inspection, four bags containing narcotic substances were found in the vehicle.
As a result of the operation, three drivers of the bus were detained. Investigative actions are currently being carried out against them.
The "São Paulo" club announced that it did not use this bus. Another vehicle was allocated for the club delegation.
It should be noted that the first match of the round of 16 stage of the competition between "São Paulo" and "Bolívar" ended in a 1:1 draw. The return match between the teams will be held on August 19 in Brazil.
