In the Chiroqchi district of Kashkadarya region, a driver who disobeyed the lawful demand of traffic police officers to stop hit a patrol car and attempted to flee the scene. He was apprehended as a result of swift measures.
According to reports, traffic police inspectors on night duty stopped a Nexia-2 car to check documents. However, the driver, without obeying the inspector's lawful signal to stop, drove away from the scene.
At the next intersection, another traffic police officer on duty gave the driver a stop signal several times. But he continued driving without complying with the lawful demand of the internal affairs officers.
The patrol crew then stopped the driver's movement using a service Nexia-2 car coming from the opposite direction. However, the driver collided with the patrol car and again tried to flee the scene.
As a result of the operational measures taken, the driver's identity was determined and he was taken into custody.
The driver, commenting on his actions, said he was afraid of the traffic police officers because he did not have his documents.
"Because I had no documents, I was afraid of the traffic police officers and drove in the opposite direction. I regret what I did. It will not happen again," he said.
