In Shaykhantakhur district of Tashkent city, a person who used a lost phone belonging to a woman and appropriated 11.5 million soums from her bank card was detained.
According to the report, the woman lost her mobile phone while walking on the street in the evening and applied to the Investigation Department of the Shaykhantakhur district internal affairs directorate about this.
A person named A., born in 2008, found the phone. He illegally used the device and accessed the mobile application connected to the victim's plastic card.
After that, he withdrew 11 million 500 thousand soums from the card account and spent the money for his own needs.
As a result of operational measures carried out by employees of the Cyber Security Department of the Shaykhantakhur district internal affairs directorate, the person who committed the crime was identified, detained, and handed over to the investigation department.
A criminal case has been initiated under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code regarding this incident. Currently, investigative actions are ongoing.
