President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, during a working visit to the city of Tursunzoda, gave an instruction to establish new educational institutions for the Uzbek-speaking population, where education will be conducted in the Uzbek language. About this, the publication "Khovar" reported.
The responsible persons were also tasked with providing the new schools with textbooks in the Uzbek language and necessary educational materials.
The president called on teachers to provide in-depth instruction in modern subjects, information technology, mathematics, natural and exact sciences, and foreign languages.
Currently, 132 general education institutions operate in the city of Tursunzoda, with more than 78,863 students studying there.
Within the framework of preparation for the 35th anniversary of Tajikistan's state independence, construction of 24 educational institutions is planned in the city. To date, 19 school buildings with a capacity of 8,185 students have been commissioned.
