In a forest in the Boysun district of the Surkhandarya region, dry grass and brushwood caught fire. The incident was reported via the "112" system at 17:15 on August 12.
Extinguishing the fire involved 194 personnel and 8 vehicles from the Emergency Situations Department, 60 personnel and 3 vehicles from the Boysun State Forestry, as well as 55 local volunteers.
The Surkhandarya regional Emergency Situations Department reports that, as of 09:00 on August 15, the fire was fully extinguished. As a result of the incident, dry grass and brushwood on an area of approximately 1 hectare burned.
No information about injuries as a result of the incident has been received.
