Aziza Mirzaeva, chairwoman of the Tomdi District Court on Criminal Cases of Navoi region, died in a traffic accident. The traffic accident occurred on August 15 on the "Zarafshan–Tomdi" highway. This was reported by the press service of the Supreme Court.
According to reports, Mirzaeva lost control while traveling in a Cobalt car from her workplace in Zarafshan to Tomdi district. The car went off the road and overturned. The court chairwoman died at the scene from severe bodily injuries.
According to preliminary data, speeding may have caused the accident. Currently, the exact causes of the traffic accident are being investigated.
Aziza Mirzaeva, 39, was appointed to the position of chairwoman of the Tomdi District Court in December 2024. She was the mother of two children.
The Supreme Council of Judges and the Supreme Court expressed condolences to the family and close ones of the deceased.
