During inspections conducted in Tashkent, 86 types of medicinal products without conformity certificates were identified in four pharmacies and removed from sale.
According to the Center for Safety of Pharmaceutical Products, the inspections were carried out within the framework of studying compliance with licensing requirements. The basis for this was advertisements about medicinal products posted in the Telegram bot "Arzon apteka".
Also, in one of the pharmacies, five types of medicinal products with expired shelf life were found to be on sale. Another pharmacy continued its activities even though the license issued for retail trade had expired.
The Center called on citizens to purchase medicines only from legally operating pharmacies. It was recommended to be cautious of suspicious advertisements on the Internet and social networks and to check documents confirming the quality and legality of medicinal products.
