Scientists of the Institute of Energy Problems of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan have developed a number of proposals to reduce technical losses in electrical networks and increase the reliability of power supply.
Based on the requirements of Law No. O'RQ-940 "On energy saving, rational use of energy, and increasing energy efficiency", the studies were conducted at the 110/10 kV "Chilonzor" substation of the Jizzakh branch of the main electrical networks.
During the study, the level of losses in the electrical network, the loading mode of transformers, the reactive power balance, and the aging indicators of the insulation resource were analyzed.
As a result of the research, it was proposed to install reactive power compensation devices to reduce losses in the electrical network. This would make it possible to bring the power factor closer to the standard level.
Also, recommendations were given on introducing the possibilities of remote control of the substation based on a SCADA system and real-time monitoring of electrical networks.
The scientists also proposed digital modeling of the consumption profile in order to optimize the load schedule.
It was noted that the implementation of these scientifically grounded solutions into practice may serve to significantly reduce technical losses in electrical networks, increase the reliability of power supply, and enhance the efficiency of the energy system.
At the same time, such measures are aimed at ensuring the practical implementation of the state policy aimed at strengthening the energy security of the country.
