Brazil national team and Santos club forward Neymar suffered another injury on the eve of preparation for the 2026 World Cup. It is reported that the footballer has swelling in the muscles of his right calf.
According to Globo, the injury is not serious. Nevertheless, the 34-year-old footballer will need to undergo treatment and limit physical exertion for a certain period.
Currently, Neymar is recovering at the Santos training center under the supervision of his personal medical team. Specialists from the Brazilian Football Confederation are also monitoring his condition.
According to the source, the forward is expected to return to full training by May 27 and join the national team camp ahead of the World Cup.
Earlier, Brazil national team head coach Carlo Ancelotti had called up Neymar to the squad again after a three-year break.
