In the Parkent district of Tashkent region, a man who treated his mother rudely and attempted to raise his hand against her was placed under administrative arrest. A video showing his actions had been widely circulated on social media.
According to the Tashkent region Department of Internal Affairs, the incident occurred on May 6 of this year. It was determined that the 37-year-old man seen in the video is registered at a mental illness dispensary. He had been receiving necessary treatment up to that time.
It was also reported that a protection order had been issued for the woman earlier.
According to a court decision, the man was sentenced to 5 days of administrative arrest.
