According to the decision, a number of target indicators have been set for the development of the livestock sector in 2026–2028. In particular, it is planned to increase the level of industrial processing of livestock products to 50 percent and to increase the share of pedigree cattle to 90 percent.
Based on the document, starting from the 2027 harvest, it will be allowed to place fodder crops on 50 percent of the areas sown with cotton and ear grains.
Also, from July 1, 2026 to January 1, 2030, a subsidy will be allocated for each pedigree calf obtained from identified cows in households. 500 thousand soums will be paid for a calf obtained through artificial insemination, and 700 thousand soums for one obtained through embryo transfer.
Another important benefit is being introduced by the decision. According to it, from June 1, 2026 to January 1, 2029, the import of pedigree cattle, sheep and goats into Uzbekistan will be exempt from value added tax.
