According to the document, a program aimed at improving more than 10,000 cemeteries in the republic has been approved for the years 2027–2029. It has been stipulated that a total of 1.6 trillion soums will be allocated for this work.
The decision also defined the sources of funding for the program. In particular, the construction of protective walls, installation of entrance gates, and repair work at cemeteries will be carried out using local budget funds.
The construction and repair of buildings and structures, as well as roads and pathways in cemeteries, will be financed from funds accumulated in personal accounts opened for each cemetery, sponsorship and charitable donations, additional sources from local budgets, and other funds not prohibited by law.
In accordance with the document, a separate personal account will be opened for each cemetery to ensure transparent control of charitable funds. It was noted that previously, because a single account was maintained for all cemeteries in one district, the movement of funds was not fully monitored.
Additionally, special QR codes will be introduced to accept voluntary charitable contributions from legal entities and individuals. The received funds will be spent exclusively on the maintenance, improvement, and landscaping of cemeteries.
