Yesterday, on May 21, a Nexia-2 car was caught in floodwaters as a result of heavy rainfall observed in the Kattakurgan district of Samarkand region. This was reported by the regional Emergency Situations Department.
It is noted that the water level rose sharply due to rainfall in the district. A Nexia-2 that attempted to cross the floodwaters flowing across the internal road in the "Jismonsoy" MFY area was swept away by the current.
Rescuers from the Emergency Situations Department arrived at the scene and brought the driver and the car to a safe area.
According to reports, no citizen sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
