Chief Marshal of the Pakistan Army Asim Munir arrived in Tehran with the aim of mediating in the disputes between Iran and the United States. This was reported by the ISNA agency.
It is reported that Pakistan is participating in diplomatic efforts aimed at easing tensions between the parties. Pakistan maintains ties with both Tehran and Washington, attempting to prevent a major conflict from escalating in the region.
However, it is emphasized that the visit is still in the initial stage of negotiations.
Currently, a group of negotiators from Qatar has also arrived in Tehran, working on an agreement aimed at ending the conflict in cooperation with the United States. Qatar has previously participated as a mediator in a number of negotiations in the region.
NATO foreign ministers are also expected to discuss the issue of securing sea routes through the Strait of Hormuz at a meeting in Sweden.
