The head of state emphasized that this year 472 thousand boys and girls are graduating from school, and they are the greatest trust and support of New Uzbekistan.
According to the President, this year for the first time, more than 11 thousand graduates are finishing school with gold and silver medals. Also, 171 young people have been admitted to the world's leading universities.
The address noted that the demands in the labor market are changing rapidly, therefore it is necessary for young people to master at least one foreign language and a modern profession.
Shavkat Mirziyoyev said that banks are allocating 25 trillion soums in concessional loans for young people wishing to engage in entrepreneurship, and that $100 million has been prepared for startup projects.
In his address, the President also paid special attention to the issue of reading, emphasizing that “a book — is a source of light, knowledge, and example.”
Also, he cited the achievements of young people such as Javokhir Sindarov, Nodirbek Abdusattorov, and Abdulkodir Khusanov as examples.
At the end of the address, the head of state called on graduates to always strive forward and wished them happiness and success.
