In a statement written on his Truth Social platform, Trump emphasized that the operation was "perfectly executed" and said the goal was to eliminate "one of the most active terrorists in the world."

According to him, the killed individual, Abu-Bilal al-Minuki, was listed by the US as a global terrorist in 2023. He is said to have led groups affiliated with the Islamic State's West Africa branch.

Nigerian officials have not yet commented on this operation. If the information is confirmed, it could be assessed as a serious blow to the Islamic State's structure in the region.

Trump expressed gratitude to the Nigerian government for cooperation, emphasizing that this operation would damage the financing and management systems of extremist networks.
