It has been reported that the criminal group planned to bring toxic substances into the country by taking advantage of the reduced vigilance of military personnel during the early morning hours. However, rapid response service officers thwarted their plan.
In particular, a cargo vehicle of the Mercedes brand, driven by an Afghan citizen, which entered from Afghanistan through the "Termiz-Avto" border customs post in the Surkhandarya region, was inspected in accordance with the established procedure. When the trailer of the vehicle, carrying a Doosan brand excavator, was scanned through the inspection complex, suspicious objects not indicated in the structure were detected inside the lifting section.
Subsequently, the excavator cavities were examined using a specialized endoscopic technical device. The inspection revealed that 593 kg of hashish and 3 kg of opium were hidden in the lifting section.
Currently, a criminal case has been initiated under Articles 246 and 273 of the Criminal Code regarding this incident, and measures are being taken to apprehend the owners of the narcotic substances.
