It has been reported that, in accordance with President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s decree of April 2, 2025, "On additional measures for state support of needy populations in introducing market mechanisms in the fuel and energy sector," state compensation payments are being provided to needy families each month for consumed electricity and natural gas.

According to the current procedure, compensation is paid for the following volumes:

— for electricity, for the portion exceeding the monthly basic norm (200 kWh) up to an additional 150 kWh;

— for natural gas, for consumption volumes exceeding the basic norm up to 250 cubic meters during winter months, and up to 150 cubic meters during other months.

In accordance with Resolution No. 243 of the Cabinet of Ministers of May 15, 2026, the amounts of compensation allocated for needy families will also be increased in connection with the introduction of new tariffs from June 1, 2026. Under the new procedure, the scope of state support will be expanded, and the amount of payments will be increased.
