Over 7,000 residents of Liuzhou city have been evacuated to safe areas as a result of a natural disaster. Officials have stated that search and rescue operations are ongoing, and disruptions to transportation may occur.
According to the latest data, two people have died as a result of the earthquake, and one person is missing. Another four citizens have been hospitalized, and their lives are not in danger.
Thirteen buildings collapsed during the earthquake.
At the same time, state media reported that communication, electricity, water, and gas supplies, as well as transportation, are operating normally in the affected areas.
For reference, the previous strong earthquake in China occurred in January 2025 in the Tibet Autonomous Region. Over 30 people died as a result of the 6.8 magnitude earthquake at that time.
