In recent years, the country's automotive market has changed significantly: now several plants are operating in cooperation with major brands such as Chevrolet, BYD, Kia, and Hyundai.
This year, production projects for Volkswagen, Foton, and JAC Motors are planned to be launched.
Currently, over 300 enterprises supply components for Chevrolet, and about 40 enterprises supply components for Kia and BYD.
Additionally, issues of increasing production volumes and raising employment in the sector to 1 million people were considered.
Within the framework of the Volkswagen project, it is initially planned to establish large-unit assembly production in Tashkent, and later a full-cycle plant in Angren.
