The Cabinet of Ministers' decision on "Amendments and additions aimed at improving the procedure for issuing protection orders to women victims of pressure and violence in accordance with certain decisions of the Government of the Republic of Uzbekistan" was adopted.
The document provides for the following:
• issuing protection orders through the Unified Electronic Information System for women subjected to pressure and violence;
• issuing the order in electronic form;
• automating the process of issuing protection orders;
• issuance of the protection order on the initiative of the preventive inspector.
The protection order is issued by the preventive inspector within 24 hours from the time when the situation of pressure, violence, or the risk of their occurrence is identified.
The formalization and issuance of the protection order through the Unified Electronic Information System is carried out free of charge.
Moreover, starting from December 1, in cases where situations of pressure and violence are identified, the protection order will be issued by the preventive inspector on his initiative more than twice during one calendar year.
