Messages under the headline "A very large fire is happening at Kitob pass, the fire has been uncontrollable for 3 days" have been spreading on social networks. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has officially responded to this news.
According to it, on July 4 of this year at 12:08, a report was received by the FEU about a fire in dry grass in the hills and slopes in the Kaynar MCA area, Kitob district, Kashkadarya region.
Accordingly, firefighting rescue crews arrived at the scene at 13:00, the fire was contained at 16:00, and extinguished at 17:00.
The second incident happened on July 6th in this area at 00:20.
Firefighting rescue crews arrived at the scene at 00:44, the fire burning in the hills and slopes was contained at 00:50 and extinguished at 01:20.
It should be noted that this fire did not last for 3 days, but occurred at two different times on different days.
In turn, the Ministry of Emergency Situations urges citizens, bloggers, and social network administrators not to spread false information and to avoid causing panic among the population, but to use existing information and reports wisely and sensibly, as stated in the report.
