Complaints have been received regarding the coercion to vote in the "Participatory Budgeting" process.

If the 39 received complaints are verified, these projects will be excluded from the voting phase.

“Participatory budgeting” received 39 complaints regarding forced voting incidents in the 2024 season 2. The Ministry of Economy and Finance reported.

The regions with the most appeals were:

  • In Fergana region — 7 cases;
  • In Tashkent city — 6 cases;
  • In Namangan and Jizzakh regions — 5 each.

By sectors:

  • general education schools — 19 cases;
  • medical organizations — 16 cases.

All received appeals will be sent to the relevant district (city) People's Deputies Councils for review and if the situation is confirmed, the projects can be excluded from the voting phase or removed from the list of winners.

“Participatory budgeting” season 2 of the year 2024 started the voting phase on August 22. The voting process will last for 10 days until 23:59 on August 31.
