It is reported that on June 21 of this year, at 14:30, in the area of the 31st district of Uchtepa region, two citizens got into an altercation and the sides subsequently engaged in a conflict. During the altercation, the citizen U.M. inflicted a bodily injury on citizen N.T. with a sharp-edged weapon and then fled the scene. As a result, the victim was hospitalized with a diagnosis of a “stabbed and cut wound to the left chest area.”
The district preventive officer, upon arriving at the scene of the incident, identified the perpetrator of this crime and took measures to detain him. At that very moment, U.M. also attacked him with a knife, showing active resistance. As a result of the actions taken, the suspect was detained with the material evidence (the knife used to inflict the injury on N.T.) by the preventive officer and PPH (Public Security Police) personnel and was involved in the investigation.
The officers of the Internal Affairs did not sustain any injuries.
In relation to this incident, a criminal case has been initiated under Article 105, part 2, paragraph "m" of the Criminal Code (intentionally causing moderate bodily harm) and preliminary investigation activities are being carried out. It is reported that a legal decision will be made upon the conclusion of the investigation.
