The regional Department of Internal Affairs is reporting on this matter.
It is noted that U.A., born in 1981 and residing in the city of Andijan, gathered around him 12 individuals, forming a group. The members of this group gathered in various teahouses across the city and intended to join the international terrorist organization “Tawhid and Jihad Brigade” in Syria. Furthermore, it has been revealed that they collected money in the form of “Baitulmal” among themselves and distributed it to their supporters.
During the investigation activities conducted in the homes of the group members, various religious extremist literature and other physical evidence were seized.
In relation to this case, a criminal case has been initiated under the relevant articles of the Criminal Code, and investigative activities are currently being conducted.
