Uzbekistan has been listed among the well-developing countries in the T2 Advancing category of the Global Cybersecurity Index 2024, reports Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov.

This year's Global Cybersecurity Index assessed countries' preparedness for cybersecurity threats across 5 levels (from the lowest to the highest: T5 Building - laying the foundation, T4 Evolving - taking shape, T3 Establishing - solidifying, T2 Advancing - well developing, T1 Role-modeling - setting an example).

"The inclusion of Uzbekistan in the category of T2 Advancing - well-developing countries, compared to the previous index, serves as a distinct confirmation of the special attention given to this sector in our country,"

"Of course, there are still many tasks to be accomplished in this direction, especially at a time when digital technologies are more pervasive in our lives, the most challenging task is to educate all segments of our population about cybersecurity threats and to develop their skills in not falling for fraudsters," - says the minister.
