On September 12, news spread on social networks about "Rotten food being served to young children at a preschool institution located in the Beruni neighborhood of the Quyi Chirchiq district of Tashkent region." The Press Service of the Tashkent Regional Department for Preschool and School Education commented on the situation here.

It was found that on the same day, a working group consisting of officials from the district department of preschool and school education was formed, and an investigation was conducted. According to the findings, the incident occurred on August 23 of this year at the 17th preschool institution under the district MPC.

On that day, it was discovered that the millet meal prepared for the children was not prepared in a sanitary manner, the condition of the storeroom where the ingredients (foods) were stored was not sanitary, and some of the food products lacked labeling.

Additionally, it came to light that a cook in the kitchen was preparing food without wearing a special uniform, daily samples from the previous day had not been taken, and due to vacancies in the positions of head chef and assistant chef at the preschool institution, a cleaner wearing no special uniform was also found to be preparing meals in the kitchen.

Currently, responsible organizations are continuing their investigation.
