The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, will be in Astana city on 17 September, on a working visit to participate in the second meeting of the leaders of Central Asian countries and Germany, following the invitation of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.
The summit will discuss the issues of further developing and deepening the multifaceted cooperation with Germany among the region's countries.
Special attention will be paid to expanding practical cooperation in priority areas such as trade-economy, investment, technologies, transport-communication, and others. Additionally, it is planned to hold a joint meeting with the leaders of Germany's leading companies and banks.
It is worth noting that the first summit in the "Central Asia – Germany" format was held on 29 September last year in the city of Berlin.
