Russia will not participate in the second peace summit proposed to be held by Ukraine. This was announced by the spokesperson of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maria Zakharova, she stated.

Russian representatives have not participated in any meetings within the “Bürgenstock” process and have no intention of doing so, said Zakharova.

She accused Ukraine and the international community of intending to “submit an ultimatum for Russia to surrender.” Previously, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had mentioned that the organizers of the next Global Peace Summit, scheduled for November 2024, intended to invite Russia as well.

Moreover, Zelensky announced in September that he would discuss a “victory plan” to end the war with US President Joe Biden. He also intends to present his strategy to US presidential candidates Kamala Harris and Donald Trump.

Zelensky stated that victory for Ukraine means being “ready for very strong diplomacy,” hence the preparation of this plan.

I will talk about how we can be strengthened before the peace summit so that we can be in a strong position. Because if you are strong, diplomatic solutions will be effective. Otherwise, Putin will not participate in this process, he said.

Zelensky revealed that the “victory plan” includes security, Ukraine’s geopolitical position, and strong military and economic support.
