According to the First Deputy Minister of Energy of Russia, Pavel Sorokin, the entry of Russian oil through Kazakhstan to Uzbekistan has increased by 30 percent in the months of January—August 2024 compared to 2023. This was reported by zamon.uz here.
Pavel Sorokin emphasized at the 22nd meeting of the commission on cooperation between the Federation Council and the Senate of Kazakhstan, that this year there has been a significant increase in the volume of oil deliveries to Uzbekistan.
Also, in 2023, the volume of oil supplied from Russia to Uzbekistan amounted to 154.3 thousand tons, whereas by the end of 2024, this volume is planned to be increased to more than 500 thousand tons.
As a result, no information is yet available on whether the increase in oil delivery volumes will lead to a decrease in fuel prices or if the increase in oil delivery volumes will not affect fuel prices at all.
