The agenda included a number of important issues, including increasing the frequency of flights, as well as increasing the number of airlines from both countries that have the right to operate regular air services between cities of the two states, according to "Dunyo" news agency.
Thus, according to the existing rules, the frequency of flights between the two countries was at the level of 10 flights per week for airlines of both sides.
During the latest consultations, an agreement was reached to increase this frequency to 12, as well as to expand the geography of flights in the "capital-region" and "region-region" formats between the two countries' capitals.
Moreover, the restriction on the number of designated airlines on each side was lifted. This provides them with the relevant flight rights according to the national legislation of the country they are flying to.
During the negotiations, issues concerning the development of cooperation between the aviation authorities of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Korea were also discussed.
It was agreed to hold the next consultations on air transport in Uzbekistan on a mutually agreed date.
Furthermore, an agreement was reached on the utilization of the special "Open Sky" regime announced at South Korea's Jeju and Uzbekistan's Samarkand international airports by airlines from both sides.
The negotiations concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding.
