The government of Iran has once again suspended air flights . Flights across the country were canceled starting from 21:00 on Sunday, October 6th (local time in Tashkent 22:30). This was reported by zamon.uz here.
The ban will be in effect until 6:00 a.m. on October 7th (local time in Tashkent 7:30) , as reported by Iran's Mehr and Isna agencies citing a representative of the civil aviation authority.
"Operational restrictions" are being cited as the reason for this measure. No further explanation has been provided.
Tehran had taken similar measures after an attack on Israel on October 2nd. The airspace over Iran was closed for 48 hours. Additionally, after the ban was lifted, international flights to and from Tehran were not resumed.
