Two gas "stations" stole energy resources worth 4.8 billion soums.

They intentionally tampered with the electric and gas meters installed at the AGTS stations.

Gas filling stations that stole energy resources worth 4.8 billion UZS in Tashkent city and Samarkand region were identified. This was reported by the Department for Combating Economic Crimes.

The pre-investigation check conducted by the Yunusabad district branch of the Department under the General Prosecutor's Office together with employees of the "Hududgaz Poytaht" gas supply branch revealed that the director of "B." LLC, T.A., and others had altered the gas meter at the gas filling station for vehicles belonging to the LLC, stealing a total of 1.5 million cubic meters of natural gas and causing damages to the state and public interests amounting to 2.7 billion UZS.

Similarly, the investigation conducted by the Department's Samarkand regional branch together with the employees of the "Uzenergoinspection" regional branch found that the director of "M.G." LLC, S.R., in the Pastdargom district's gas filling station for vehicles, had modified the connection scheme of the electric meter for commercial purposes, illegally using electricity worth 2.1 billion UZS.

On these cases, criminal proceedings have been initiated under Article 169 (theft) of the Criminal Code, and investigative actions are being conducted.
