A new first deputy has been appointed to the Minister of Preschool and School Education.

Sherzod Karimov, who previously worked at the Cabinet of Ministers, was appointed to the aforementioned position.

By the decision of the President, Sherzod Karimov was appointed as the first deputy minister of preschool and school education. This was reported by the “New Uzbekistan” publication here.

Sherzod Karimov worked in the public education system from 2006—2012, and in the system of secondary special, vocational education from 2012—2018.

From 2018—2024, he worked in the Cabinet of Ministers, the Department of Education, social development issues, as a leading specialist, chief specialist, department head, deputy head of the secretariat.

Since February 28, 2024, until today, he has been working as the head of the Department of “Mahalla” solidarity, youth policy, and spiritual issues, including preschool and school education, health care, and spiritual affairs at the Cabinet of Ministers.
