Uzbekistan's newly appointed Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Oybek Eshonov visited the capital of Indonesia, reports "Dunyo" news agency.
The diplomat is 57 years old. He graduated from the faculty of oriental studies at Tashkent State University (now the National University of Uzbekistan), as well as the State Construction Academy under the President of our country.
He worked in the position of ambassador in Israel from 2008 to 2017. Before his new appointment, he was the head of the department of cooperation with South Asia, Near, Middle East, and African countries at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
He is fluent in Persian and English.
Oybek Eshonov led our country's embassy in Jakarta from 2018-2022 and was appointed in place of Ulugbek Rozukulov, who was confirmed as the chairman of the "Uzavtosanoat" JSC.
