“Tashkent-Aero” specialized customs complex's Anti-Smuggling department's rapid response officers, in collaboration with representatives of the State Security Service, Department for Combating Economic Crimes, National Guard, and internal affairs agencies, exposed significant illegal circulation of pyrotechnic devices within the domestic territory.
In a rapid operation conducted in the Chilanzor district of the capital, a residence previously under close surveillance was inspected in the prescribed manner, revealing that 205 cardboard boxes containing 2 types of pyrotechnic devices were being illegally stored, having been illegally imported into our republic from abroad.
The total amount of these pyrotechnic devices, which emit colored smoke and sparks, is 24,637 units, with an initial estimated value of 737 million UZS.
These pyrotechnic devices have been temporarily seized, and pre-investigation checks are currently being conducted.
We remind you that during the past period of this year, customs officers of our republic have identified over 80 customs violations, preventing the illegal transport of nearly 7.5 million units of pyrotechnic devices across customs borders and putting an end to their concealed circulation within the domestic territory.
