The US announced it had delivered nearly 70 high-precision strikes against ISIS targets identified in Syria with combat aircraft. This was reported by the US Central Command (CENTCOM) on its X page here.
“The strikes against ISIS leaders, operatives, and camps were conducted as part of an ongoing mission to hinder the terrorist group's ability to conduct external operations and prevent ISIS from reorganizing in central Syria territory,” the report says.
According to CENTCOM, the airstrikes resulted in damage to approximately 75 targets.
The strikes were carried out with the participation of US Air Force B-52, F-15, and A-10 aircraft. Assessments of the combat strikes are currently being studied, and there is no information about any casualties.
We remind you that on the 27th of November this year, the "Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham” group and its allies launched a widespread attack against the positions of the Syrian government forces. On the evening of December 7th, Assad's opponents had taken control of Aleppo, Hama, Deir ez-Zor, Daraa, and Homs cities. On the morning of December 8th, they entered Damascus, after which the Syrian army units left the city. The Prime Minister of the Republic Muhammad Ghazi Al-Jalali stated on the night of December 7th that he had spoken with Assad for the last time and informed him about the situation.
