In the city of Gramado, located in the southern part of Brazil, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, a private plane crashed into a residential area. This was reported by Globo here.
It was reported that there were nine people on board the plane, with no survivors.
State officials have confirmed the death of ten individuals.
"On board was the businessman from São Paulo, Luis Claudio Salgueiro Galeazzi, who was flying to this city. Galeazzi was piloting the plane himself. Among the passengers were his wife, son-in-law, mother-in-law, and three children, as well as the businessman's sister and her two children," the report states.
The plane crashed into a furniture store. According to local authorities, 14 people were injured and hospitalized. It has also been reported that firefighters were working at the scene and the risk of a fuel explosion was still present.
