Speaking of Erkin Mukhitdinov, who is starting his work as the Director of the Agency, he was appointed as the Head of the Department of Forest, Biodiversity, and Ecotourism Policy at the Ministry of Ecology in December last year. Prior to this, from August 2023 to May 20, 2024, he had managed the Ohangaron district, and in May 2024, he was appointed as the First Deputy Governor of the Tashkent region.
For your information, Erkin Mukhitdinov was born in 1976 in the Andijan region. In 1997, he graduated from the Andijan Institute of Economics and Management (Bachelor), in 2000 from the Banking and Finance Academy (Master's), and in 2007 from the Graduate Institute for Policy Studies in Japan. Erkin Mukhitdinov holds a PhD in Economic Sciences. He has been awarded the “Friendship” order.
Erkin Mukhitdinov has worked at the National Bank for Foreign Economic Activity, “Turonbank” JSCB, the Central Bank, the Cabinet of Ministers, the Social and Economic Policy Coordination Service of the Office of the President of Uzbekistan covering employment and living standards issues sector, and the Ministry of Reducing Poverty and Unemployment.
