The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, is currently in Abu Dhabi on an official visit, accepting the invitation of the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This was reported by the Presidential press service. 

Today, on January 14th, our state leader participated in the opening ceremony of the "Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week" international summit and the awarding ceremony of the Sheikh Zayed Prize for Sustainability.

The event was attended by the President of the Emirates Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim, President of Nigeria Bola Tinubu, President of Rwanda Paul Kagame, President of the Seychelles Wavel Ramkalawan, President of Uganda Yoweri Museveni, as well as other foreign state and government leaders.

After the host, the UAE leader, welcomed the distinguished guests, they all took a photo together.

Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week is an international platform established in 2008 by the UAE government and Masdar company to address global issues of sustainable development. The forum aims to accelerate sustainable development worldwide, assist in economic, social, and ecological progress, ensure food and water security, promote energy efficiency, and advance decarbonization.

This year's summit agenda includes topics on sustaining sustainable development in the "green" economy, implementing innovations and new technologies, strengthening regional cooperation in energy, and food security.

Within the forum, there will also be an award ceremony honoring achievements in sustainable development, named after the founder of the Emirates - the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan. This time, the "Global Middle Schools" category award was won by the Presidential school of Tashkent city.

The award was presented by the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with representatives of the school and warmly congratulated them on their victory.
