Reports about the establishment of GAB Airlines in Uzbekistan spread on social media. The Civil Aviation Agency's press service provided an explanation.
It was reported that the news about this airline being established and operating flights with Airbus-320 and Airbus-330 aircraft does not correspond to the truth.
It is noted that any entity wishing to undertake any activity related to the use of aircraft in civil aviation, according to the law, must obtain an air operator certificate from the "Uzaviation" agency in the prescribed manner.
Only after obtaining an air operator certificate can an organization gain airline status and have the right to conduct air transport with aircraft.
The organization calling itself GAB Airlines has not yet submitted to the "Uzaviation" agency an application for an air operator certificate or documents proving the purchase or lease (leasing) of an aircraft.
