Last year, an agreement on strategic partnership in the critically important field of mineral resources was signed. Effective cooperation is being carried out in transport and digital connectivity, the "green" economy, culture, and other areas.
It is believed that the prompt signing of the Extended Partnership and Cooperation Agreement between the Republic of Uzbekistan and the European Union will significantly accelerate the development of the entire spectrum of relations.
The leader of Uzbekistan and the head of the European Council also exchanged views on international agendas and regional cooperation issues. Joint plans for the preparation and holding of the first "Central Asia - European Union" summit in the city of Samarkand in April this year were discussed.
