Videos where a driver takes a traffic police officer on a "ride" in his car spread across social networks.
It appears that the incident occurred on the 4th of February this year at 19:10 on the M37 highway at the 34-kilometer mark in the Akdarya district. A road patrol officer, while on duty in this area, approached the Cobalt vehicle, which had violated the stop and standing rules, and asked the driver for his documents.
The driver, without presenting the regulatory documents and disobeying the legal demand, continued driving away.
"Escaping from the traffic patrol officer, I ended up in jail. I regret my actions. I also apologize to the family members of the officer. May all drivers stop when asked by the traffic police, so that they do not end up in a situation like mine," says the driver.
The Akdarya district prosecutor's office has initiated a criminal case under part 1 of article 219 of the Criminal Code regarding this incident. The driver has been detained under procedural order. Preliminary investigation actions are currently being conducted.
