Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky warned that hasty and ill-considered decisions to end the war could lead the country into a situation similar to Afghanistan.

He emphasized that simply stopping the firing is not enough and Ukraine will never give up any part of its territory.

Zelensky's statement resonated against the background of negotiations between the US and Russia held in Saudi Arabia. Ukraine and European countries did not participate in these negotiations, which caused dissatisfaction in Kyiv and European capitals. Zelensky stated that any agreement made without Ukraine's participation would not be accepted.

Furthermore, the President of Ukraine criticized the US's position in negotiations with Russia, highlighting their "very favorable" words towards Putin. In his opinion, these actions are carried out in pursuit of quick success.

Zelensky highlighted that if Ukraine is accepted into the European Union and NATO, Russian troops are withdrawn from the country, and security guarantees are provided to Kyiv, there would be no need for negotiations. He declared that he would continue to defend his homeland until these conditions are met.

At the same time, Zelensky invited the US Special Representative for Russia and Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, to the front line in Donetsk. Through this visit, he aimed to show Washington the real situation of the war in Ukraine.

European countries are also expressing dissatisfaction with their lack of participation in the negotiations. French President Emmanuel Macron called for an emergency meeting of European leaders in Paris, emphasizing the need to protect European interests in the negotiations.

In this way, Ukraine and European countries are striving to ensure their participation in any agreement to end the war, otherwise, they declare they will not recognize such agreements.
