It is known that there are various indexes that assess the power of passports, among which the Henley Passport Index by Henley & Partners holds special significance. This rating evaluates the possibility of entering a number of countries without a visa or with eased visa requirements here.

According to the 2025 rating, the Singapore passport has been recognized as the most powerful passport in the world. Citizens of Singapore have the possibility to travel visa-free to 195 destinations. The second place is held by the Japanese passport, which grants its holder visa-free access to 193 countries.
The bottom part of the rating features passports of countries whose citizens have limited visa-free travel opportunities.

The ranking of the 10 weakest passports is led by the Afghan passport, which allows visa-free entry to 27 countries. The second and third places are occupied by Iraq (29 countries) and Syria (33 countries) respectively.

The subsequent places, in order, are occupied by the passports of Yemen (35), Somalia (36), Nepal (38), the Palestinian Authority (38), Sudan (39), and Sri Lanka (41) countries.
It should be noted that many factors influence the strength of a passport. Economic development, political stability, security, and the extent of diplomatic relations established with other countries are among these factors.
