The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, on March 11, in a telephone conversation, warmly congratulated the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on his birthday. This was reported by the Presidential Press Service.
The leader of our country wished the UAE President robust health and prosperity, great success in state activities, and peace and prosperity to the people of the friendly Emirates. The heads of state also sincerely congratulated each other on the occasion of Ramadan, a month sacred to the entire Muslim Ummah.
The visit of the President of Uzbekistan to the UAE in January this year was especially noted for opening a new page in the history of bilateral relations, elevating them to the level of strategic partnership. A special "roadmap" was adopted to implement the agreements reached.
The leaders expressed great satisfaction with the dynamically developing multifaceted cooperation between Uzbekistan and the UAE, especially in the areas of trade-economic and investment sectors. The volume of trade and investments, as well as the number of joint ventures, is consistently increasing.
Today, within the portfolio of projects worth $20 billion, leading companies of the Emirates are actively cooperating in key areas such as green energy, digitalization, artificial intelligence, urban planning and infrastructure, tourism, and private business.
Issues related to holding the second summit of the "Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council" dialogue in the city of Samarkand were also discussed.
