A catering establishment in Navoiy city was subjected to appropriate measures for not presenting the menu in the state language. The Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Rights Protection reported this.
Citizen E.N. appealed to the Competition Committee's regional office in Navoiy region to take appropriate measures due to instances of consumer rights restrictions at the restaurant owned by Navoiy-saxovat MChJ.
During the investigation conducted by the regional office, it was discovered that there was a lack of full name of the entity and the taxpayer's identification number (TIN) available for consumers, along with a special QR code to scan this information, information about the operational hours, and the absence of price lists for the products.
Moreover, it was noted that information about the ready meals was not presented to the consumer in the state language.
In light of the above, legal proceedings were initiated against the restaurant, and instructions were given to eliminate the violation of law and prevent future occurrences, which must be followed mandatorily.
The restaurant violated the law "On the Protection of Consumers' Rights" and the "Regulations on the Production and Sale of Catering Products (Services) in the Republic of Uzbekistan".
In addition, an administrative report was drawn up against the restaurant's responsibility and sent to the competent court.
