The President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron, organized a state reception in honor of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at the Elysee Palace. This was reported by the Presidential press service.
Official delegations of the two countries, members of the Cabinet of Ministers led by the Prime Minister of France, Francois Bayrou, as well as distinguished figures in culture, art, and science, business circles, and public representatives participated in the reception.
The leader of our state expressed his gratitude to Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte Macron, for the warm welcome and noted with satisfaction that the talks held today were of historical significance and that as a result, the relations between our countries have been elevated to the level of strategic partnership.
The French leader praised the results of today's negotiations and the agreements signed.
– Over several years, we have managed to establish long-term cooperation relationships in vital areas such as energy, water resources management, municipal services, transport, and sustainable tourism. As evidence of this, French companies, with the support of the French government and the French Development Agency, are investing in Uzbekistan, creating added value and jobs in the regions, and helping young people learn professions and find their place in life. – said Emmanuel Macron.
The parties expressed their firm intention to further strengthen Uzbek-French cooperation for the prosperity of our peoples.
