The state prosecutor's Office of the Netherlands stated on 27 March that a 30-year-old Ukrainian citizen who attacked pedestrians with a knife in Amsterdam was suspected of having a terrorist motive in the attempted murder of five people.
However, it is still not officially known what exactly it was based on. A citizen of Ukraine who was captured on the day of the attack remains in custody – the court ruled to extend his prison term for another 14 days. He has the right to communicate only with his lawyer. The investigation is ongoing.
The person in question allegedly attacked people with several knives near the Dam Square in the center of Amsterdam on March 27. As a result, five people were injured, four remain in the hospital to this day, their condition is assessed as stable.
The identity of the attacker lasted for some time, as he identified himself with documents with different names and refused to cooperate with the police. Only on March 29 it was found that he was a citizen of Ukraine from the Donetsk region.
It is worth saying that the Donetsk region was largely influenced by Moscow, since it had a population of Russian nationality. One of Russia's excuses in the invasion of Ukraine was also the “defense of the Russians in Donetsk”.
Sal had previously exposed the Russian side's use of various instruments of propaganda and provocation to bring out unrest in Europe and exacerbate national and religious disputes, as well as counter-immigrant and counter-religious hatred moods.
